Our membership is varied and widespread. Currently we have members who live as far apart as Huntingdon, Letchworth Garden City, St Albans, Stotfold, Tring, Watford, and Welwyn Garden City. Two of our members live right on the doorstep of our practice hall, in Great Wymondley. We also have some country members, who join us from Aberystwyth, Bridgnorth, Gloucestershire, Norfolk, and Nottingham, whenever they are able. These rather more distant members used to live in Hertfordshire, but can't bear to break the ties.

We have danced at many and interesting venues since our inception. Particularly memorable highlights include:

  • The Millennium Dome - 2000
  • International Dance Festival, Chatelaillon le Plage, France - 2002, 2010
  • Littleborough Rushbearing Festival - 1993, 1996
  • Towersey Folk Festival - 2001, 2003
  • Hatfield Tunnel, opening ceremony
  • Ireland - 1993, 1994
  • Rochester Sweeps Festival
  • Straw Bear Festival, Whittlesey
  • Wimbourne Folk Festival
  • Dance Unlimited 2000, Newport Pagnell

A unique opportunity is afforded to us to visit many National Trust, English Heritage, and other historic houses, as performing artists, rather than paying visitors. We have been fortunate to visit Berkeley Castle, Harlech Castle, Haddon Hall, Wimpole Hall, Knebworth House, Hatfield House, Lymes Park, Belvoir Castle, Chatsworth House and many others.
We have made good friends with a number of other sides over the years.

Practice is held every Wednesday evening, starting at . Those who can, retire to the pub after practice. We do take our dancing seriously; we aim to give a good performance that we can feel proud of, but we always enjoy ourselves and the friendships we have built up over the years are very important to us.
