Ramrugge Processional Prize Clog Morris, a lot of words, and much music is needed to dance to. The music we have chosen for our dances is mainly march-time music, either in 6/8 for single step dances or 2/4 or 4/4 for polka (rant) step dances. This choice is determined by the style of the dance.
We enjoy challenging dances so we must have challenging tunes. Our music ranges from the classical repertoire, Schubert, Rossini, Beethoven to traditional and late popular.
The arrangements, where they exist, are usually for fiddle, melodeon, whistle and such. Occasionally we are blessed with a saxophone, it all helps to drown out the bass drum and the clatter of the clog irons.
